Project Design Cities : Berlin
Date 2012
In the Summer of 2012 I was invited to participate in a workshop organized by DesignInquiry and the Design Research Lab titled DesignCities: Berlin. The objective of the workshop was to bring together practitioners of varied backgrounds in "an experimental week to investigate and explore the design city, collaborate with its designers and develop and exchange ideas with international colleagues and friends. The notion that design practice, and the presence of designers, can alter the trajectory of a city for the better is an assumption that beseeches exploration and testing. Meeting Berlin‘s flora and fauna, getting used to its habits and communicating with its inhabitants will be the core of DesignInquiry-slash-Berlin. We are there as designers, artists, makers, exploring this design town." – DI
What I documented is a showcase of the simple experiences, or ebb and flow, with the creative energy generated by bringing together these thinkers, makers, and tinkerers.
